Is this week over yet??? Better yet, how about the month?? I haven't been on here because there's been so much BS happening in one week that I didn't want to just go on and on yet again about what's bringing me down. (I was being nice and negative when I started this thing...). I so seriously need to go through and check up on everything here (I've been reading entries and comments, but haven't had a chance to reply to anything!). Wait, isn't this how I begin every journal entry???
Work is work...that's all I'm going to say on that. I feel way more positive after hearing some good news from my mom and about my car. This started as a very negative entry, which is all I seem to be capable of writing lately. I'm not really this much of a negative person, but I've been using my journal as my venting ground when I can manage to get on here. I want to start using the journal more though with positive things that go on with my life. I know I whine and complain a lot, but I know things could be worse for us. I know one good instance where I'll have a good entry: after my trip to Mexico in October with Joy!
Some good news before I finish......with my mom's custody issues going to court, the situation looks a lot more in our favor. The judge was very unhappy with CPS. My mom also had good marks for her because she listens and cooperates with CPS, makes all her meetings, and never misses a meeting with the kiddos. The judge upped her visitations to twice a week and wants her to have phone privileges (being able to talk to the kids on the phone). I know this may seem not so good, but it is a huge boost after all we've been through with CPS. It was the first meeting with CPS involved (well, this was court technically) that resulted in her mood being so positive.

I FINALLY have my own car! It's a 1997 black Chevy Malibu. It runs great. I absolutely love it! I need a new paint job, but it's not bad at all. :) I didn't want a brand new car for my first car. My payments are only $140 every two weeks; the insurance is only going to run me about $100. I am so seriously excited!!!!!!
I just got the car and actually remembered to post about it. I should be in bed getting some sleep for work instead. I've been so outrageously busy here lately that I haven't really been on the computer at all. Even when I do wander over to the computer, I just don't feel like being on here. I think I'm going to be busy again this weekend. I really need to do some more packing, do schoolwork, and see some friends. We'll just see how it all goes though. |

I just wanted to say Merry Christmas to everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday. I realize it's very close to not being Christmas day anymore, but I just got on the computer. I got pics taken, I just need to upload them. Oh, speaking of pics, I couldn't get my Vegas ones to load from when I went to get Chanel. |

I might take my camera with me tomorrow and take some pics of Las Vegas. I'll be right on the strip to get to the airport. The New York New York is one of the coolest looking casinos so I really want a pic of that one. There isn't much of anything but mountains between here and Vegas, but I might take some pics anyways. |

I am not feeling well at all. I got some bug that's going around. I woke up this morning and felt okay, but I got worse through the day. By the time my parents got home from work, I was running a fever. I got to take some nasty NyQuil, but my mom said if I catch it early I should be able to get rid of it. She told me to take some DayQuil in the morning. Here's hoping I feel better tomorrow!! |

This past Saturday, we went to the annual Hardyville Days festival thing. Bullhead City was originally called Hardyville. It's basically a celebration of the town's heritage. There was mainly booths to buys stuff to support the community and a couple of rides (I literally mean a couple!). But, there was a costume costume and a very small parade. I got some pics of both.

My internet is back up! I have a bad wire on the outside part of my line. The repair guy told me to tell my dad he can get one at Radio Shack and redo it himself since he knows how. He also said he's not going to write down it was a bad wire; I won't be getting charged for it!
Now, time to go catch up on EVERYTHING. I just looked at all my school stuff. I'm not behind a bit there. :) Chanel left me a TON of messages on MySpace. I need to call her if her phone is working! |

We finally got a nice, good downpour last night. Unfortunately, it was such a good soak that we had flooding. When my parents got home yesterday evening, the water in our yard was up to the back of my dad's knees (he's 6'3" if that helps any). Power was also out for about an hour I believe. The tree in our front yard is snapped. I'm going to take some pics and post them. I want the rain, but I don't like the bad wind and flooding that came with the rain. It's at least nice and cool right now.
*I heard from Chanel last night. She told me she's doing okay. I asked about her getting a new phone number, but she's going to wait until she moves to South Dakota to change it. We talked about the Harry Potter book. I gave her spoilers because she asked. Apparently she's having a hard time reading the book.
*Another thing....I'm being horrible at communicating with people lately. It's not just when I'm talking to people....it extends to when I'm typing or writing. My brain is way ahead of what I want to say or write....I end up leaving out words or phrases and end up sounding like I'm talking nonsense. My post is probably coming out that way right now. Maybe I just need to get some better rest this weekend.... |

I think my Harry Potter interest is reaching a high. It may be due to the fact that this is the last book in the series. I only joined 2 communities related to the book, but my f-list is flooded with posts from them. I keep looking for new Luna icons too (she's my fave character in all the books). But, I'm still waiting to discuss more of the book with Chanel.
Speaking of Chanel....
She made it safely to North Dakota. I talked to her briefly Saturday afternoon. I have a few pics I took that I still need to send to her e-mail. Once I get them sent to her, I'll post them here.
On a completely different topic...I'm going to have to put a lot of work into my American Lit. class. I'm having to analyze stories thoroughly...I haven't done this since my senior year of high school. I think I'm off to an okay start, but I really need to get in gear! |

Apparently the leaked copy of the book (or carpet book as it was being called) of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is the real deal. I've been reading summaries from others that took the time to read each photograph of the book. Yea, I know what's going to happen, but I still want to own a copy of the book. I want to read the whole thing myself....not to mention I want to own the complete set of Harry Potter books lol. |

It is absolutely CRAZY how much information about Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is flying around. I've seen lots of posts about an Epilogue that is leaked. A lot of fans are saying it's 100% real because they know a very good source who has read the book. Now, I'm not going to go around and slam people that say that the Epilogue floating around is real or not; I'm going to wait for the book myself to actually confirm how genuine it is. I think the publishing company would want any information, fake or not, to be taken down from websites. If the company only went after the factual leaks I think it could really spoil it for those fans who DO NOT want spoilers. Plus, all the speculation keeps the fans guessing!
I don't care if I read spoilers; I probably will once the book comes out. I don't know if Chanel and I are still on to go get the book. Even when I read spoilers of any kind, I still like to read the entire book (or see a movie in the case of a film). I like to see what events lead up to what happens.
Really, this post was just pointless lol. I'm just really excited for the last Harry Potter book to come out! Only 6 more days left....
(not to mention I wanted to use my Luna Lovegood icon again....she's one of my fave characters from Book 5 and on) |
